About Us
Making music accessible to everyone

Sampoornam Foundation was founded on November 19, 2014, by saxophone vidwan Sri G. Ramanathan with the blessings of Jagadguru Sri Shankaracharya Swamigal. The primary objective is to offer performance opportunities to young and emerging musicians, artists, and dancers. Additionally, the Trust aims to provide medical care to musicians who may need it, establishing a partnership with JV Hospitals, Kodambakkam, as part of this noble mission.

The Trust is also committed to offering financial assistance to musicians and artists from underprivileged sections of society. Over the past nine years, it has successfully met its goals by organizing Margazhi music festivals, conducting annual workshops, and presenting an annual award in memory of the esteemed Kerala vidwan, Late Sri T.G. Viswanatha Bhagavathar, and saxophone maestro Sri Kadri Gopalnath.

Creating a difference through music

In its ongoing efforts, the Trust provides a monthly financial aid of Rs. 5000 to musicians facing employment gaps and scholarships to deserving school children. During the COVID-19 pandemic, the Trust extended support to tambura artists and volunteers working in music organizations. Additionally, a medical fund has been established to offer free assistance during medical emergencies.

The Trust also welcomes donations for its charitable initiatives, all of which are tax-exempt under Section 80G of the Income Tax Act, 1961.
